Unwittingly, we merged into the measured chaos of breakfast at Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe, rousing ourselves from the overnight tangle of sheets and blankets promptly at six a.m. in preparation for our scheduled departure. Showered, shaven, and dressed in freshly laundered clothes scented with lavender, we ventured into the early morning shadows, where the distant sun had yet to make its presence known. The winding corridors of Sea Pines Drive and Greenwood Drive, leading to Arrow Road and Helmsman Way, demanded careful attention as we navigated their dark, narrow passages. Upon arrival, we stepped into the lively hum of the breakfast service, already bustling with golfers and sailors fueling up for a day in the predicted sunshine. Seated at the counter, we were immediately captivated by the orchestrated commotion of the kitchen. Each chef had a distinct role, their movements purposeful and precise, yet the underlying complexity of their coordination remained elusive. With seamless efficiency, they prepared and plated an endless procession of eggs, meats, fish, and biscuits—each dish a carefully curated variation, some adorned with sauces, others paired with potatoes or pancakes. I, with a touch of cleverness, added a side of fruit to my order of scrambled eggs, sausage links, and a biscuit—flaky, golden, and, as always, beyond compare. Everything arrived without hesitation, impeccably composed and presented, each bite a testament to the skill and care behind it.

Breakfast at Palmetto Bay SunRise Cafe is a must on our trips to Hilton Head. They have the best breakfast in town and the staff. Thank you Emily for serving us so well.

It was pretty crowded on that Sunday morning but service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious, we definitely will be back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Everyone was incredibly nice and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The service was top-notch, with the staff being extremely accommodating to all our needs. They made us feel right at home, and their attentiveness truly enhanced our dining experience. I highly recommend Palmetto Bay Sunrise Cafe to anyone looking for a great meal and outstanding service.

I travel a lot and one of my favourite things is going to a great breakfast diner. It’s such a great start to the day and a nice way to get oriented in a new place. This is the best service experience I’ve ever had in a diner, and probably in any restaurant, anywhere. It was extraordinary. These are lovely people who love what they do. I cannot recommend it enough. Update: I’m back again a year later and again - lovely folks, fantastic service, and great food.

Fantastic breakfast experience at Palmetto Sunrise Cafe! We built our own omelets, paired with coffee and orange juice. While the juice wasn’t fresh, the exceptional service from the staff more than made up for it. Friendly, attentive, and welcoming—will definitely be back!

Very glad we stopped in before church today, 12/29/24, as they very closed the rest of the time we are on HHi so their staff can have an extended break. :) Mt hsmusband for the blueberry cream stuffed french toast and I got the cinnamon apples pancakes. Both were great. I'd agree with him that his was better. :)

The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind, making it feel like you’re enjoying breakfast among family. We had the Build Your Own Omelette, and it was exactly as expected—delicious and satisfying. The prices are very reasonable, making it an even better experience. Highly recommended!
